Historical Reporting and Fees

Historical reporting may be required for some producers to become up to date with their reporting requirements. New producers must file outstanding historical reports for all prior year(s) in which they were obligated. A first report must be filed on the WeRecycle Portal:

• Within 30 days of executing agreement with Circular Materials.
• Within 60 days of executing agreement with MMSM, SK Recycles and Recycle BC.
• Estimated historical data is sometimes required if actual data not available.
• Producers obligated to pay fees from the day they begin supplying paper and packaging in a province with a provincial PPP program.

The chart outlines the first reports and payment periods for each jurisdiction

• First report year: the first year that obligated producers are required to file a report in that jurisdiction.
• Supply data year:  the data year the first report is based on.
• Invoice year: the year the first report was invoiced.
